Hey guys,
I am interested in buying a daycab for around 300-400 miles a day in total. Is a DD-13 engine daycab good enough for this. This is technically a long haul drive but I don’t know if the smaller dd13 engine will be enough to haul 48,000 pounds. This is a for a flatbed truck and trailer setup. Please advise and thank you!
Looking to buy a daycab

Depends. Are you flat hauling through NE or trying to pull 48K pounds to climax mine from denver every day for example. Need more info for accurate advice.

Not sure if it's still true today but I recall sleeper trucks being quite a bit cheaper than buying day cabs, and nice to stretch out and nap in if the day happens to go sideways on you

A DD13 will do just fine as long as the rest of the truck is setup right.

I’ll never own a day cab no matter how close to home I stay, a small coffin bunk adds minimal weight and is easier to park in the drive way every night then do basically anything with a day cab
justcarhaulin Thanks this.
