My neighbors have a 2022 or 2023 Jeep Grand Cherokee bought new. Needs a $6000 exhaust system (wife’s words). It’s warranty/recall but still.

Since 2016, I've owned about nine 3.5 EB F-150 and Expeditions, and outside of the cam phasers, the motors themselves are fine for the up to 101K we've owned them. The 10 spd auto has shifting problems, but that's a transmission thing.

I should also mention every one of our 3.5 EB trucks has been ECM tuned for at least +75HP at the wheels, and they get beat like rented mules because we know we aren't going to keep them for more than a year or two. I currently drive a 23 Limited Powerboost that is Livernois tuned with about +100 at the wheels. It screams.

I agree, if you want to keep an F-150 forever, get the 5.0. I have a 22 5.0 in the fleet because we couldn't get an F250 at the time.

I don't like the fact you can't hear the turbos. If I'm buying something with turbos it better whistle like an old 6.0L Powerstroke with straight pipes.
