The trick to pay for the fuel with the app is to keep force quitting the app until it works. For me it usually only takes 2-4 attempts. I have been persistent and it almost always eventually works.

Bershire Hathaway bought Dairy Queen and changed it from the old/declining DQ to the current DQ. I have hope BH will turn PFJ around. BH rarely sells companies they buy. BH isn't like the 80s/90s assett-stripping leveraged buyout companies.

I agree, Loves is the best nationwide, and Kwik Trip( or Kwik Star in MN.) are the best regional. Good companies with good management makes a difference. How they treat the employees is crucial. I've delivered to Kwik Trip in LaCrosse, and a high class operation. To be fair, Pilots have been around for a long time. It was the epitome of travel centers. Now, they are just plumb wore out, thin door handles, coffee machines from the 80s, poor facilities, again, all from poor( or no) management. If a rich person like Warren Buffett is investing in truck stops, oops, I mean, Travel Centers, makes you wonder what's next?

Does this mean cheaper coffee and wings? Pilot's coffee is inching closer and closer to 2 bucks just for a refill and Love's is still like $1.49 for a refill. I wish we could get fuel at Love's

Loves gets busy, fuel is fuel. On a trip last summer, in Neb., I think, got off an exit, a Loves on one side, a Pilot on the other. The Loves was backed up out to the road, all pumps taken, the Pilot, not one person at the pumps. I didn't think Pilot was that bad, same price. :dontknow:

I’d have to be on my death bed or the truck on fumes to go into a pfj, even then I might try to syphon the reefer tank to make it somewhere else.
