It means you have a screw loose and it needs tightening...just kidding...it's another type of MIL (Malfunction Indicator Light) like the little yellow engine. Where the engine light is just for the engine and it's emissions system, the wrench could mean there is an issue with the engine or transmission.

As supersnackbar stated mil I had a 579 with a cummins engine (don't know if it made a difference) but you could turn the key to the on position and tap the fuel pedal 5 times quickly and it will start flashing. After it flashes so many times it will pause. That will give you the code for the problem.

    dwells40 and supersnackbar Thank this.

I found this out on my peterbilt 579 but it has a cummins engine don't know if it will work on a paccar. Mine was a 15 model.

Holed up in Victorville until further notice. I don’t think I can explain the situation in a way that would make sense (because it doesn’t even make sense to me) so I’m just going to say that general broker BS is preventing me from picking up the load. Dispatch is aware that I’m sitting and have been working to get stuff straightened out. Only consolation is that I’m not in downtown LA or something.

gntorres61, BigR and runningman0661 Thank this.

My phone is also convinced it’s still on Mountain time, even though I’m clearly not and haven’t been since yesterday afternoon

    gntorres61 and BigR Thank this.
