It is really funny, but most employment agencies have NO KNOWLEDGE of our profession at all. I took a job through one in Colorado years ago. Actually the customer and I had to lead them by the hand through the regulations etc.

They had sent several applicants out to the customer, but I was the first one to have the required Class A with all endorsements....

Makes you wonder how some of these outfits stay in business.:biggrin_25513:

If I do not want to get a CDL class A or class B I do not need to; so I still have not decided, and my Missouri (FOR HIRE) is enough for most of what I intend to do.

It depends on the state, for example... If your have a diesel dually pickup in the state of Iowa. You NEED to have a log book that is current regardless of what you are doing. Including your wife taking it to the grocery store. No trailer involved.

Stupid? I know, but I've had some personal experience in this matter.

Ya I found that out also. In missouri a log book is needed even if you do not have a CDL; if you are for hire with DOT #'s. :biggrin_25513:
