    Loyalty works both ways.

The mechanic I use buys from Interstate McBee. He's had good experience with them.

I use some of their products. I have a return fuel check valve to install tomorrow that is made by Interstate Mcbee. They were 150.00 less than Detroit.

I am thanking both of us need to talk to our accountants. Looked on line today and I need to ask myself. Years ago Mr Joe Cash was asking me the best I can do on parts mark up and such ( but this is cash! ). My accountant told me after self employment tax and such, if you are not making 10% on any parts you sell it is costing you money to sell parts. S corp, LLC, etc change things but looks like it might be more like 15% today.

OH no that was just to help him recover some of his downtime and tow bill from that injector I put in that went out a few days later. I mark 90% of my parts up 22-25% unless it is filters then they are 45%. And that is still cheaper than customers can buy locally. I do shop around and find the best prices I can. After being in business with most of these places over 40 years we get pretty good pricing.
