Hey guys. I was wondering if anyone has used the CHART automation system before? Our company has always been manuel, but thinking about getting some of these.
They look cool, but before I tell them wanted to get your guys opinion or if you have used one before.
-
My god! They get all the cool stuff across the pond! Heck, even just having the back door keep the rain off of you would be nice lol

So I'm probably going to just haul something else. Cryo was fun and interesting. But it's probably best to do something else. Probably going to do food grade at Oakley. I know @lual wasn't a fan of them. But it can't be that bad right?

So most hydraulic trailers these days already use HMI computers to mitigate most of what you can mess up on the trailer side. The only way this really helps is by controlling all your major valves on trailer side and customer side I imagine as well. There can be two downsides to this drivers that are not very good at understanding the intricate details of loading /unloading and a trailer that can be a pain if sensors don’t work right. Now with that said I will tell you we are currently testing an industrial version of this in our LHY fleet.Last edited: Jan 31, 2024

How y'all doing.
So I am checking the Cryo Companies jobs near me. Airgas is the only one, but I think is for cylinders. It is tough to think about relocating which I can in a heartbeat, but I do not know if these companies taken an application to relocate and it is tough because I don't know if the place are good or bad. Like some say every shop is different.
Sometimes i google "the company name" employee reviews, and I check the reviews on Indeed or Glassdoor, and i know most complains are the normal 'standard" complains every driver in every company has and some feel like the management wrote it to balance out, LOL. It just sucks. Very few are informative ones.RoadShade, viper822004 and Friend Thank this. -
Depending on the needs of the location your willing to relocate to would determine if a company would hire you. Now we all know every job has a certain amount of B.S. you have to deal with. For me I have always been one that has liked to try new things in this industry so I took a pay cut just to get started back around seven years ago. Having done oil, chem, fuel and now this I don’t regret that decision one bit. Plus when I went to hire on in my current position it was more of a when can you start of an interview.Last edited: Jan 31, 2024

Just tell them you’re going to move, Get all the dates set and show up. Ask for an offer letter before you start spending money. It’s not really a big dealFriend Thanks this.

Yes I know, the major problem is will they hire me from out of State, probably not.
My actual Co has relocation to other sites, but the good ones are rare to open especially now they have a program to train people from within. It is a good pay job, but the only driving part is killing me, nothing else, just driving it is 90% of the job. I still do unload my trailers and have fun with the people are the stores, but it is Verbeton for drivers to unload. G.D I miss tanker life, I miss using my brain cells.
That's one thing I notice in my Co. The more bored is the job, more crazier are some co-workers or more people are trying to mess with someone, and/or the regular friendly backstabbing two face friend. I saw people really doing unsafe stuff, really hurting themselves, fighting, crashing and getting fired in the most stupid things ever. How? it is the boredom.
Not everyone, the older guys are really cool and helpful dudes, passing their time to clock out one last time.
I guess I will go Tanker anyways, this boredom is really killing me. I do everytime I stop, extra pre-trips, the goals safety, I ask to move trailers at the stores, I got a book on everything I do on my day registered, well I always did. I am planning in build a shower inside my sleeper, lol. -
I know the thing is the place to work from. I am researching reviews, where some Co's offer too much sign on bonus, I feel like some sign on bonus are a red flag. I am looking for a place to invest, I am still have my house in New England, but not retiring here.
