I have my permit and DOT physical. It’s good until October 2024. And I passed my pre trip on the state exam first time.

I will also need to go with a dog friendly company. I know you can’t have your dog during training which is fine. But when I do get hired on as a driver, I plan to bring my dog. He’s a 30 pound French bulldog very short and small. I see most of the companies you sent me have a pet policy.

 

That’s actually the truth. I never got to the road test. It was the last part of the maneuvers, the reverse offset, where I was having issues. They will not let you advance to the road test until after you pass first the pre-trip, then the four maneuvers which include backing, etc., and then you go on the road that is how they do it now in Ohio.

I was under the impression when you do refrigerated you end up loading, and unloading, is that true?

No, you won't be loading or unloading pulling refrigerated freight. Some fly-by-night outfits may have that policy, but the ones I listed, you won't be doing that. Those companies don't want the driver doing that. You can verify that with the company before accepting the job offer.

 

Dogs are good company on the road.
