I am literally laughing out load right now. When I read "Anyone know any companies dry van that would hire with bad psp" because my first thought was Western Express.
Am I unemployable

At an IL weigh station I was pulled in for an inspection.
Turned out that both airlines and a bit of the electrical line were 'chafed'.
And in an area that would never touch anything, being very close to the glad hands.
Actually, they all looked like a razor or very sharp knife had been used on the lines. I was in the truck the whole time, as the officer told me to stay there during the inspection.
He gave me 2 options. I could go to the rest area a mile up the road and call for service, or he would escort me to the Love's back at the next exit.
We went to the Love's. They cut a foot off the air lines and replaced the glad hands and I was good to go after a couple hours delay.Chinatown and Crude Truckin' Thank this. -
Same type incident happened to me in Ohio. Said something was wrong with the trailer lights.
Told me to call for service. I sat in the truck for a few minutes behind the weigh station and noticed they had shift change. Saw the officer that told me to park and call for service, get in a car and leave. Waited about 5 minutes and I left and no one noticed. -
I wouldn't hire you because it seems like you don't give a ##. Why would I want to put you in my truck and you ruin my company's CSA score. To me you're high risk. You'll probably be better working for one of those container hauling companies or garbage truck.Bean Jr. Thanks this.

Local companies don't generally use or care about psp. And you get to be home every night.

Why limit yourself to vans?
There's dirt, milk, food waste, garbage, asphalt, grain.
The list is endless.
Tankers and doubles endorsement is easy to get. Just take a test and pay the fee.Apnightsky Thanks this. -
The garbage truck drivers around here where I live make a decent living. One of them is a union outfit. I chat with one of them on rare occasion and he's content with the job. Wear company provided uniforms, trucks are clean inside and out and well maintained. He doesn't touch anything as the trash cans are emptied automatically. He does everything with levers and buttons from inside the cab of the truck.

Ummmmm.......those aren't a huge deal per se......but the question has to be asked.....did you just start driving?

That's over 3 years my first 3 didn't know extinguisher needed to be bolted in place.
Being on headset I've passed 2 stations 1 was confusion cause was in a rest area.
He gave me unattentative driving if knew what that was I'd if asked for ticket and fought it. Tire had just got flat on 3 hour run prior to the weigh station was a huge construction zone somewhere in iowa. I didn't know how to get registration out of trailer cause so went in without it. I couldn't open the cylinder. And I didn't have habbit of looking for chaffing on power cord I always checked air lines on preteip. The lane change was my bad.
