Truck misdiagnosed 3 times. What should I do?

It might do it again and that is the 1st. My truck did the same this last year in May, then again in June whiles making a left turn at the intersection on a main street in Columbus, OH. The exclamation warning light came on and is displayed 'Transmission not available'. After numerous shutdowns a day later I was able to drive it to a Peterbilt shop in Kalamazoo, MI. They ran the codes and told me its a rebuilt programming with the computer transmission. A mechankc there told me they had multiple issues with this regarding new Peterbilts. I'm glad its still under warranty.

 

Does it actually slow you down?

I just keep driving. Eventually it turns off. It's been happening very frequently as of late.

 

No idea of the part no, the whole thing comes complete as in my pic for a bit under 200$ cad.

 

Tell them to put you in a manual transmission and problem is solved.

 

That’s just what the fleets buy nowadays figuring they come ahead somehow according to the professional bean counters. No way would I ever buy one just for these reasons but sure, in theory it’s a great idea.
