Something else to note, if you have Comcast TV or internet at your home or whatever, you have access to their wifi networks (for free) that are all over the country. It shows up as xfinity wifi or comcast wifi (one of those two). It is a lot more prevalent on the East coast, but they have it randomly throughout the US too.

For phone I use Google Fi, because I go to Canada and it includes international calls.

For data, Millenicom. They have a new cell band modem that also includes 5G, true unlimited. The price cannot be beat, once you get the modem paid for.

When I was going OTR, I used an extra antenna. It was much under 10$. I was able to catch the signal from the pilot or TA from a distance about 1/ mile. Target, Walmart, staples and others have the free web for their customers. I coul get there signal there where I could park comfortable.

I don’t know if they are still offering it, but Verizon was offering 5G home routers for $25 bucks a month if you were a customer of theirs. You can plug it in anywhere and take it with you on the move and why I ultimately got it. Since it’s not location specific and not hard wired into anything, I can’t see how you can go wrong, but of course it needs to work where there is cell phone tower range like mobile phones. The other option is Starlink which is a little on the pricey side for startup costs, but will work anywhere.
