Never had a problem with any of their tunes. Always get good reports.

    AGAIN ....

I would like to see the transmit wave forms and sprectrum displays before and after on a good test station like a IFR1200S ......

What I read was JUNk ..... You don't rip up a radio run Jumpers cut limiters abd remove output filters which a wak pack does.

There are some mods if done right work but RAR is not doing them ......

Save your money get a amp ......

It may sound good on the air but that doesn't mean it is a clean signal.

I was going down the road one day and could hear some garbbled talk on 19. Coldn't hardly make it out so I figured I would start switching channels till I found the radio. As I turned the selector the noise got louder till I found the channel He was on channel 31 talking to some of the other drivers in the group. He was real loud on 31 but it sounded terrible. I came on the radio and asked who did that radio up for him. Trying to make it sound like he had a great radio. He came back saying he bought it off the internet from RAR. His friend was runing a GI joes radio (his was also splattering but not as bad). They both really liked the sound of my radio. I told both of them I was running a connex 4300 HP purchased from Sparkys CB shack and that both their radios actually sounded not very good and that they were bleeding over other channels. We chatted for a bit till they got about 20 miles away and started to fade out. I told them I was loosing them, they both came back saying that it sounded like I was sitting right next to them and was still loud and clear.

My connex can only be heard on the channel that I am running, even with everything turned all the way up. I usually run with the RF power turned down to half and the iic gain turned down to a little less then 3/4 with the eco and reverb off.

I also have a cobra 29 stealth that was done up while Doug was at Sparkies. It does almost as well as the connex except it does not have quite the range as the connex.

Can't wait to find a Harley edition cobra 29 to have it reworked along with the rfx 75 installed.

I got a Galaxy DX44 a few years ago. They hacked it up. And yes I know who you're talking about. RR in Wilmington, DE. They are a only a good shop to those who don't know good sounding radios. If you want a crappy sounding radio buy from them.

Lets see all of them on a IFR-1200 S looking as the entire transmit envelope.
I'll bet they all look like crap ......

Ok, assuming what you say is true(and I am).....are these mods good for anything? And if not, what would you recommend to someone wanting to be able to transmit a little farther and be able to receive the same distance?

    Are more watts the answer?

Let's put it this way,say I 've got a Uniden pc76 and I want the best performance I can possibly get from it without adding an amp, what would you recomend? Mind you I don't want one of those radios that are godawful loud and can hardly be understood......just max transmit and receive with good clean sound.
