Yup. I'm on the book selection committee for our school system. It's amazing the amount of garbage that's out there.

 

How were you "forced"? Coercion? Nunchucks? The rack? Waterboarding? Noogies? The point of a gun? Inquiring minds want to know....

 

Just like all crappy companies-you're forced when they say "well if you can't or won't do it, well find somebody else who will" thus ending your job as if you don't quit or get fired they will just sit you out in the truck with no loads available-allegedly- and just make it so terrible that a person does end up quitting. If you don't know how they work, then you're either at a job that treats you like what you're worth and has been your only job in the industry, or you've never driven a company truck before. We all know how they "force" a driver to do illegal things, with the threat always looming overhead of losing your job, or not getting a paycheck to pay your bills and take care of your family.

 

Um, with job loss? Are you really this clueless? Are you this naive about how truck drivers used to be treated before the invention of the ELD?

 

Grow a set. When an employer tries to coerce you into something illegal just throw the keys on his desk, grin, and walk out.
The first time you let them bully you is the hardest, after that they'll roll right over you anytime they want to because they know you'll give in.
Don't be a tool, son.

 

Yeah, clueless, thanks for reminding me how clueless me and everyone is, and how you have all the answers. How would you have handled this, wise one? Please enlighten the assembled masses.
