They updated the software and replaced nox sensor. Its very frustrating, they say they have to follow some protocols to do repairs under warranty.

It's crazy this is the way it works. I just drove the truck 3 hours on the route Houston-Odessa and I got the first check engine light, there is no way the selling dealer did not know about it.

I did Sr, and I sent it to the repairing dealer. I am going to ask them if they even look at it.

I’ve yet to hear of someone trading a truck in because it was running too well…

Unfortunately you’ll have to keep going back until they’ve gone through it a few times before they’ll finally authorize a new one box.

When mine began to act up, I just kept driving it. It would Derate me to 55 mph for a few minutes then clear up . Over time it happened longer and longer. I had a licensed copy of Detroit Diagnostic Link so I was able to do my own forced regents to get the codes to clear.
Eventually it got to where it was happening sever times a day, then I finally took it into the dealer. They only had it twice, then put in new injectors and a one box. Worked good agpfter that.

That's exactly what they suggested would happen. I told them that the nox sensor failing is just a symptom of a problem they haven't found yet. This is the second time they've replaced the nox sensor. I also told them that I find it illogical for them to do the same thing, replacing the same part, and expecting different results. But they said that's how the warranty works. I have an OTR device that can do forced regens and clear the codes. I am going to take your route good Sr. I am still going to contact the selling dealer manager and Daimler. It’s been a non pleasant experience since the beginning. How did you get them to replace the injectors?

Thanks for your answer. Any more suggestions and tips on how to go about it? I am a neophyte on owning a truck.
