My suggestion is CR England to get your feet wet. Dont sign for a fleet lease of more than a year. They do offer it. They are if you will the better of all the evils.

Con-Way was hiring ONLY husband/wife teams for a while. Don't know if that's still true but it does indicate that they are partial to HW teams.
I'm waiting on an email response from their recruiting office now. I'm hoping, for my own sake, that they've started looking at solo company drivers again. Good luck!

Just got a reply from Con-Way Truckload. They're still focusing on training HW teams. Solo drivers need 6 mos OTR experience. They seem to be a good company and if you're in their hiring area, you might give them a call!simplyred1962 Thanks this.

Wow....I have never seen anyone on this forum tell someone to go with CRE ? Did you make Lovesthedrive mad somehow ??!
-
Ok I'm about to call Con-Way

Chances are both of you will have to go out separately with trainers. It would probably be a good idea to stagger when you start. One of you go ahead and run solo for a year, then perhaps that person can train the spouse. That way you avoid two rookies in the truck at the same time. You get more rest solo than team if your company runs legal.
