How fast are southern ag trucks
Flat Earth Trucker Thanks this. -
70. Just to let you know, they have AI driver facing cameras. If you look down, it tells you you’re distracted. If you go 5 mph over the speed limit, it tells you’re speeding. Reports go to them. You get a call or a message and there’s some kind of point system.
Lonesome and Flat Earth Trucker Thank this. -
I was interested in southern ag last year. Didn't know about the AI cameras. Definitely a no go. I was informed that there were no fridges, either. Is that also the case?
-
I’m not sure about the trucks out of Albany GA. They actually own them. But, I don’t think they do. Inverters either. Those are Mack’s mostly I was out of Dunn and Mine was an international from Ryder (they also have some from Penske). It did have an inverter, but no fridge. And no closet doors either, so everything was always falling out.lual, Lonesome and Flat Earth Trucker Thank this.

Such a sad set up. I wish companies would strive to be better.
Does SoAg actually utilize tanks? I've seen their dry vans, but not any tanks. -
Don’t think so. They have spring ride vans (a lot of them REALLY old) and some reefers. Not aware of tankers. Maybe look at Early Trucking Company out of Arlington GA. Small company. Maybe 130 drivers. They have vans, a few reefers and if you’re in FL, a milk division with tankers. They are a good outfit for the most part. 90% of what they haul is peanuts. Southeast region mostly. Outward facing cameras only. Stripped down internationals. Will install your inverter for you. I went to SoAg because I got laid off from ETC (and after the fiasco at Abilene). Thought they were like ETC, but they were way different-and not in a good way.lual and Flat Earth Trucker Thank this.
