Truck runs like S@#$

What about the fuel tank vents or fuel cap vents? Easy check, take one cap off, run it. I think the dieseling or pre ignition you hear is from running lean.

This is going to sound stupid, but check your grounds from the ECM to the battery. I went through something like this with one of my first trucks, after spending a hell of a lot of money, I had to take it to a dealer instead of a shop and was told by a 4'11" guy from France "it is your grounds" ( I hired him years later and he runs my shop). He fixed it, it cost me $87 and a lost load but it was fixed.
