    As a 6'2" fat guy, I can see where this holds true in the cramped close quarters of a car. I've rented some of these cars these days that are considered "mid-size," and wished I had a detachable head so I can get in and out of them.

    A truck is a different animal. A 300 pound guy in a freightliner is going to have about the same amount of open space around him as the 100 pound guy.

    yep, its that decelleration curve. Thats what gets us heavy people. A skinny person will have less mass to slow down in that sudden stop than a errr portly person. Our bones might get stopped by the seat belts. Yet our organs with our pudgy stomachs (I am also in this category) have more room to slop about.

    But hey I am working on it. Already down 6+ pounds in a month.
