Just finishing up my CDL 20 week class, I’ve had the opportunity to meet with 4 mega carriers during requirement, but haven’t decided on a company yet. I come from a banking background with a solid work history from 2002-2020 same company but left during Covid 2020 due to severance package and had the opportunity to take time off and not worry about money or working the last few years, decided I wanted a completely different career change and went to CDL school. Now I’m about to graduate, but I’ve noticed allot of these mega carriers are requesting my last 3 years of work history. Should this be a concern? I’ve never been to jail, have no DOT issues, not even a speeding ticket and my prior work history although a gap of 3 years was solid. Basically just been a stay at home parent but now my kids are off to college and I’m looking for a new career to keep busy. Any one had any similar experiences. Thanks all.
New CDL grad but no prior work history the last 3 years

List your solid work history from 2002 - 2020, then put furlough 2020 due to company covid policy, plus generous severance package.
`

Of those 4 I'd chose between Stevens Transport and TMC.

I took a hiatus from "regular" work for about 2 years after I got my CDL.
You should be fine.

Here's a good job for LA driver. Might cut some slack on the 3 mos. experience required since you attended a 20 week school. How many hours was the school?
I'd recommend trying for this job.
