Its a 1400 mile load with 3 drops. 1 in PA and 2 in NJ. All drops, same day. 1st drop at 0300 and last drop at 1300. Going 2b a loooooooooong day!!!
Sure hope the 1st drop has OVNP like the driver directions say or I'm going 2b screwed.
So what happened 1Bad? Lure of the road got into your blood?![]()

I have seen there trucks around allot 1Bad, and I pull out of allot of the same places they do now. But never really stopped to talk to any of them, accept at a truckstop bar while having dinner.
The one or two guys I talked to seemed ok with them. Check there safety info.
Also make sure that is a solo run. Sounds like a team run to me.
Why would you be looking anyway? You are back to being a body man.
Much more stable.
I am sitting at home this weekend. I have to head out at 0100 or so on Monday morning to get a load in Indiana for 1100. Though really I could leave later if I really wanted too.
I have not decided. I may just not go to bed and run straight from leaving my inlaws from Easter dinner. -
One of as L/O .
I think i couldnt ask open enogh. what is the pay for co-driver on dedicated route with L/O -
If a lease Op wanted a co-driver, they would have to hire that driver themselves. The co-driver would no longer be an employee of Central, but an employee of the Lease OP.
This can be ok, but make sure that the lease OP pays as an employee and not on 1099 (which would be illegal). As an employer they would have to deduct your taxes, pay unemployment, social security etc.
As such, to do it legally they would not be able to afford to pay you any more than you would have gotten from the company. Since the lease OPs are paid extremely low for being an "owner op".
You may be able to get .30 cpm from one doing it legal, but his real cost for you would be closer to .40 cpm. Which would leave the lease OP with .45 cpm to live on and pay all his payments etc. Plus his Fuel surcharge, but the surcharge does not even cover all his fuel costs.
So he would pay you well and be broke.
Not a good or stable situation.
Actually I need to change that.
I was doing that based on you running solo in a lease Ops truck.
If you teamed with the lease OP he may be able to afford to pay you .17 cpm for all miles. No more than that.
The other info applies. He will still have to treat you as an employee. Not a 1099 contractor. -
here at the TA in Erie PA! My god I went in for a shower and eat it was about 75 degrees... i came out now about an hour later its now 55 and windy as hell.

I know that I don't post here that often, but my worst Walmart Distribution Center load was in Brundage, AL as well. Took me five hours to get unloaded. I did get detention pay, but it was a real cluster ****. For some reason walmart decided to hold their employee meeting when about thirty drivers were standing in front of the receiving windows. All of the walmart employees just dissapeared for two hours.
Fun stuff. -
how come that doesnt surprise me...

You are about 40 min from me. I am over in Jamestown NY.
I actually took a ride with my wife earler on my bike to a place I like 8 miles from you.
Great day for a ride.
The weather is changing though. Will be great sleeping weather tonight, every window in the house is open. -
Detention Center??? WTF??? Are you saying that the VIP Lounge in WVC,UT is a brick building with metal bunk beds and plain white walls? Are you saying that you have to wear your shoes to bed if you have the top bunk because the metal rungs on that ladder hurt your feet too much?
Then why would have my instructor have said to us in class that the "VIP Lounge is pretty nice, huh?".
My gosh, man, they give you a queen size bed to sleep on, in a room all to your own, with complimentary continental breakfast and concierge service with a mint on your pillow each night! -
im headed to Guilderland NY and only 5 hrs to drive tomorrow (brushing my 70). Load doesnt deliver until 0400 on monday. If you were on the 90 I'd ask if you wanted to go get lunch or something. If I go up the 86 and avoid backtracking i have alot of 2 lane undivided roads... I hate those... I just dont have alot of trust in the oncoming traffic...
