    Is there an actual flasher, or are they controlled by a body control module? I don't remember when they switched

    It's controlled by a module in the dash, at least I can't find the flasher in the dash or the wiring diagram.

    It's possible the controller is bad. I've had one fail on one of the marker circuits. It would power the truck side just fine, but as soon as I added the trailer load, voltage would drop off to almost nothing. Spent a bunch of time chasing a trailer short that didn't exist.
