1. Attention employers: We now require a valid DOT# for anyone wishing to post a driving position. If your job offer doesn't contain a DOT number, it will not get past moderation and will not appear in the forum. The other requirements in the sticky at the top of this section are still required as well. Thank you for understanding.

Hello, I writing to ask for opinions on what are my driving options in the southern US? Such as the best company to drive for and stay south of at least Maryland. I looking at moving this summertime and after 18 years of living and driving in the NorthEast, I've had enough of the congestion, attitudes, and weather. Anyone in my area knows what I'm talking about:biggrin_25513: I have 18 years experiencewith no tickets or accidents. I'm just looking for different ideas and input. My family is 100% behind this move and wewant to explore all options. I have a few ideas in my head but looking for more input and maybe a few ideas i haven't thought of. Thanks for any helpand Happy Easter

Hi Good luck in your move. Here in Atlanta there are a number of companies hiring. Check online at the Atlanta Journal Constitution (AJC.com) SAIA runs out of John's Creek (North Fulton County) and is a nice company to work for if you can get in.

Ras, what sort of trucking are you looking for, and where are you moving to? There's 2 companies right here in Salisbury NC that basically are SE regional, and drivers I've talked to have good things to say about them.

Jim, I'm interested to know what companies is Salisbury you consider to be good choices to work for. I live in Norwood, 10 miles south of Albemarle but only have 7 months experience with experience in Haz-mat and also endorsed for tanker. Unemployed at present and want to stay local or regional since I have a wife with rheumatoid arthritis who needs me home more often than I was getting driving OTR. Any help would be appreciated.
