Wichita Falls to Seattle Recommended Route

    550 is a little quicker than going to Gallup. It’s 4 lanes and you avoid the craziness on I-40.

    That'll work, too. I got used to going through Gallup because the atlas doesn't show 550 as a truck route even though a lot of trucks use it. I took it one time, it was alright. 491 from Gallup to Shiprock is bumpy AF. Have to really watch for the bumps if you don't want your freight to get airborne.

    The mountains are steeper that way. Crossing deserts is easier.

    I agree. But it is over 200 miles longer that way. I was just posting in jest though.

    Actually, the route I chose was also the shorter of the choices.
