    @CryptoDegen
    Thanks a bunch for that, agreed 100%.
    You're absolutely right, looks like I may have been blacklisted for now. As you know the industry is so small, word gets around and everyone knows someone.

    I know a driver who has made a gigantic mistake (driving off the rack with risers attached, ripping off entire riser) and is still hauling fuel today. But hes been doing fuel for over 20 years and driving for 30. What took me out was the smaller mistakes adding up.

    So next move is I'm thinking of going OTR with regular freight, signing on a lease purchase program and coming back to fuel as an o/o in the future.

    Oh man, the transmix I had at a rack was so disappointing. Curveball load so went out of my routine. Started a riser with the wrong amount of gallons preset.

    I noticed it shortly after starting it (thankfully) so I stopped it to prevent a dome out. 70 gallons had been loaded.

    So to try and fix it I cleared it and preset a new amount of gallons to the correct amount. The problem is once you press clear, then start, new amount of ethonal comes out. So I prevented the dome out but my compartment was heavy on the ethonal.

    I learned later that all I had to do was stop the riser, not press anthing else, and move it over to the next compartment to continue loading.

    I would still have a job now.

    Don't waste your productive years away on a lease purchase program. You'll end up with nothing to really show for it. Get on with a solid company and save up in a 401K. If you want to run a truck also use that time as a company driver to clean up any financial messes and save up money like crazy so you can do it the right way all cash in. And be careful with leasing on at places too.

    RockinChair and TankerYanker36 Thank this.

    Thanks great info. After just now reading stories on this site about leases, not a good idea.

    Have you tried applying at Merit or Cool in Bloomington ? There a smaller mom and pop set up. @CryptoDegen had an idea about this.

    I tried Cool but they recently filled up all of their open spots. Haven't tried Merit yet, never heard of them but will definitely try. Thanks for that!

    Merit has has like 4-5 small lots. I think they have like 2-3 truck and trailers but they have several Bobtails(10 wheelers) for deliveries. If you can get in the door with the Bobtails and work yourself to a T&T when the times arrives.
