...I can't get rid of him easily because he is paying installments on the combo I sold him ...he was pretty much trouble free before I sold equipment to him ...
ohh and cherry on the cake : end of March he was inspected and that inspection added 60 points to my safety skyrocketing in to over 12 and starting today I have troubles booking good loads due to safetybeastr123 Thanks this. -
Most insurance companies base the rates from your terminal. They’ve gotten smarter. Unless you have a different terminal billing address, you’re stuck with what you have.
exhausted379 and TX2Day Thank this. -
I have my old company inactive , I was wondering if I switch the address for more favorable premium rate will work out . current co - it's probably shot

It should come up in a google search.
Mississippi was cheapest a few years ago. -
Your still in the same boat because they will see that you reactivate an old MC, there going to question it. Along with changing of address. I ask all these kind of questions to my agent who’s been in the industry 40 years. She tells me the insurance industry have caught up with technology, with cheaters and individuals trying to play the system for there benefit, I mean who doesn’t ? I’m even guilty of this. At the end, I’m still stuck paying 10k a year.exhausted379 Thanks this.

I thought same and Google it , but today Mississippi insurance agent proved me wrong and he said it's not that low ...he suggested Arkansas ( probably because he is licensed there also ) , mentioned that he can probably get me 10-12k reactivated...don't want change the address 100 times ...decided to ask the communityJames j and Otr Traveler Thank this.

What did you end up doing? I'm in a similar situation, kind of, minus the claim and inspections, renewal came in at 40k per truck due to stupid NJ bumping the minimum truck liability to 1.5 million up from the $750k required by FMCSA, looking to move my authority/IRP to a cheap state asap and rent a small office there, I have 30 days to switch everything, was thinking about Ohio but figured I'd ask first

wisconsin got me 7500 annually

Did the other guy finally pay off the combo you sold him or still paying?cke Thanks this.
