Engine swap on a JD 410J for the boys up at Arimo. No crank damper on these, looks like the shafts parallel to the crankshaft are weighted for it. PXL_20240425_161106343.jpg

Man, it's been a long week. My log book reads like a fiction whodoneit masterpiece that would leave Perry Mason scratching his head.

Yesterday was a little easier. Leave my Idaho panhandle trees in CO, then grab an easy load of rock to drop in CO Springs.

Got my rock loaded and couldn't make it to deliver before the receiver closed, so I stopped about 20 miles north of Kim, CO on Hwy 109 and cooled my heels a bit.

Finally I decided I'd roll on toward Pueblo since I needed a loaded weight, and on to the receiver since it looked like there was room to park there.

At the Loves in Pueblo, my CAT scale app said my $$ was no good, so I went inside to get my scale ticket. My debit card declined. Luckily the hot chick I married way back stuck a few hundo's in the console. So, I got my scale ticket, and proceeded to that nice big parking area at the receiver.

I got parked around 9:30 last night, did some final editing on that masterpiece I've worked on all week, and laid down thinking how nice and quiet of a spot this was, right in CO Springs.

But come about 2 a.m., my truck was rockin, and there were voices outside.
Come to find out two homeless dudes thought the bike on the back of my truck was an easy target, and they also thought my truck was empty.

They were mightily surprised, and regretful, when they saw the winch bar in my hand. A few kind words and apologies and they were on their way.

I got delivered this morning and there is literally what looks like 20 acres of homeless camps directlly across from the receiver on E Las Vegas St.

Called the bank, and someone helped themselves to 5k$ out of my business acct. They said it was done through a transfer using online banking, so all of my accounts were locked.

So I'm gettin home with mommas cash. We'll try this again next week.

My mom was born in Kim. I like that little town. Probably would have slept better there

The little outpost store makes a good green chile cheeseburger.
