Got sent to Hanover, Pa from LA. Got here 0830 and get told to park off to the side and wait for someone to come out to me. 3.5 hrs waiting so far….get asked to do a favor to run a short load from Brennigsville to Carlstadt jersey and said no cuz Im low on hours since recaps wonky. Gets put on me anyway. Thought meant today but it delivers tomorrow. Says live unload all day, hopefully turns out to be a drop. I hate jersey with a passion but it not my name on the side of the truck. Wish I could find a place that would keep me out west til I wanna go home. Honestly hoping to get out of the industry all together next year and get an engineering job with my degrees. Also contemplating a PhD before too old.

Almost got stuck at this place….total cluster fck like every other place in north jersey been too. Pull in and guard comes out with an attitude telling to park on the street, well street was full and went around back to a culdesac to turn around and of course there were cars parked there so had to pull into one business drive and back into the one across to turn around and another truck comes around corner so had to make room for him to get stuck….thankfully someone moved so could park and walk over to the guard to check in which still had an attitude. Get called few minutes later to back into a door and told to drop and park outside again. Now waiting for money code for the lumper fee, 418.00. If you hate your job then please find another one and not get an attitude with everyone checking in. What this place should have done was clear out parking spots on property and schedule trucks appropriately so street doesn’t get over crowded being other businesses tell everyone to park on the street too. Other thing I hate about jersey is the exits are a spaghetti mess often going in several directions which can get confusing and dangerous to follow signs when you are on one side and need to get to the opposite side after the toll gate even with a good gps. I swear the engineers that designed the roadways here were either drunk or graduated at the bottom, lol!

Well, despite my best efforts, I'm flying a loaner until they manage to fix my truck. There was a tremendous wailing, and gnashing of teeth, and rending of garments, etc.
Currently parked at the Davis truck stop south of Richmond. Picking up Boar's Head in Jarratt tomorrow morning, then schlepping it to Groveport.Lonesome, jarhead0311 and Bumper Thank this. -

They had a Lancaster Leaf planned on me after Jersey that dropped on the Richmond yard but took it off and replaced it with a load of wine from Scranton to Ashland. Then bounce to the yard for a 34 cuz Ill be out of hours and recaps are horrible. Said the wine load was more important.

Yeah wasn't that volvo load lol.Got a Erie to Qxford,Nc,delivering now than heading home, was told it was dry in Richmond.

Truck has been in the shop for over a week. We're talking now about the actual Kenworth shop down the road from our yard. Called 'em up today for a status report, they just started looking at it today and still don't know what's wrong with it. So it looks like I'm stuck in the loaner for a while longer.
Was offered a selection of loads out of Richmond. Among the loads offered was one that picked up just a few miles away around noon today and delivers in Kansas City Friday morning. That sounded like some good miles. Pick it up today, drive 5-6 hours, then have two full days to pick up the remaining 10 hours of drive time. So I picked that one.
Then Edna gave me the actual load assignment and it won't be ready until noon tomorrow. And by now all the other loads my DM had on offer have been farmed out. So I put in for a day of layover and will be twiddling my thumbs for the remainder of the day.4mer trucker, Lonesome and dwells40 Thank this. -
