I bet anything he tugged on those straps and said "that ain't going anywhere" before he rolled.

Ha ha, one of my first loads as a newbie trucker with a 4 wheeler like that, was a fork truck from Derby to MacMery near Edinburgh. Only ropes in those days but I did a really good job, double dollied all the way round and all went well, until I got into Edinburgh traffic. A car in front of me slammed on his anchors at a change in the lights forcing me to stop the same way too. I looked in my mirror and the load was still there but the angle of it seemed a little different, so I stopped and went to check. The FT had moved forward just 6 inches but in doing so rested the front wheels between two cross members under the deck. The deck was only thin planks and under the weight it had broken, dropping the truck a few inches. I re-roped and carried on and there was only a slight difficulty unloading it at destination.

Taught me a few lessons though, expect the bloke in front to do the unexpected, and check where the point loading is of your cargo in future. Also, continue to do a really good job of securing with whatever you have. After all, it could have joined me in the cab. :D

I think somebody told him to make sure he uses lots of rigging. He did.

3/4 tons have overload springs on the rear suspension for a reason.

Looks like a single chain on the back also with only one binder, so from the looks of it not legal securement also

I'm surprised it seems to ride so well, until he has to brake sharply though. Then he will find the front of the trailer on the ground, and the nose of the car in the air.
