A part of me interpreted this as they should have plenty of freight. Another part me thinks why did they do this in the first place.
The other half of me doesn’t know what he’s talking about anyways lol

If you talk to a recruiter at Variant and they still offer you a low number, be sure to ask them what it would be if you had six months experience. Maybe you're getting lowballed because you're still a month or two away from that benchmark.

Just called them they said variant is no longer a company lol idk what that means. Then the recruiter immediately put me on hold and sent me to a voicemail. They always seemed pissed off at these megas. Us express said 50 com is the highest they could pay a Florida driver even with 5 years experience. Somthing like that

Dang!!! I worked at Variant last year. I saw one of their trucks this morning and assumed they were still running. USXpress must have just killed the brand without repainting the trucks. LOL!!! I guess that explains the low pay.

Good thinking there, something I consider a good trait.

Kinda bottom of your post to top.

What the Public relations speak is about: CRST is a big player and secures more freight than can be efficiently covered by it's existing fleet. Swift Enterprises is now working within the CRST broker/Agent network. That will give Swift Enterprises a better opportunity to cover some of their freight with CRST trucks. Also gives them the opportunity to use surplus CRST freight to establish better paying return freight to get the Swift Enterprises truck back to established customers.

As to why they did it: Growth of the company. If a company is not growing it is doomed to death. The agreement is a way for them to run their trucks for better revenue per trip. Or cover freight with a CRST truck that they have guarantied to a customer . Better profit and potentially better customer satisfaction.

Yes it should give them a bigger pool of freight to keep the Swift Enterprises truck moving.

S E wasn't great when they were under US Xpress's umbrella.
How much is the unloading pay for that trailer full of cabinets?
That .51cpm is not great with low miles on top of unloading.....

I thought I was getting underpaid. Pay that low isn't sustainable for long. Add the being on the road alot, and you seriously could work in fast food and do better.
