I’d just buy it, insure it, and drive it home with title and bill of sale. It’s a personal vehicle until it’s put to work under an Authority.

This. I’ve purchased trucks in WV, PA, MT, and NE. The one in NE was the only one local to me. The other 3 i just told Great West what I was buying and I drove them home. For all anyone knows I could’ve been buying farm trucks.

When I bought my current Truck. It was through Chrysler Financial. The Owners brother was a Used Car Manager at a Chrysler Dealer. We did everything as if it were any other pick up or car. Left out with a 30 day temp plate taped to the front bumper. I also bought his Trailer. Should have went straight home. Times were tough as usual. Made a temp sign for each door. I booked 2 loads bouncing home. One Driver at Loves noticed the plate. Asked about it. I told him. He laughed and said Be careful this ain’t the 80’s. Lol. Luckily I didn’t get caught.
