I don't know. I'm sure there's people making more though. One driver I know of hit $50k the pay period before this recent one.

I went looking for openings but there's nothing in my area lol. Do you guys have driver facing camera? I remember hearing something about that
-
No, but if you're serious keep watching for openings dunno what to tell you otherwise. When they're hiring they post what's available publicly. Good luck

Small company that's owned by the largest dairy in UT. 4 regional trucks, 3 local. I am the top earner and get most of the loads because I'm a work acholic supporting family of 6, in this crappy economy. My pay not typical for most drivers. Mainly because they aren't willing to work the hours I do. If most of my loads didn't meet the ag exempt rules I wouldn't make as much. I also handle all the 911s my boss needs. As such he takes care of me. (Top to others just starting, show up early leave late eat the #### sandwich.... It does pay off in the long run.)dwells40 Thanks this.

My old Werner trainer works at Wally world and he loves it. I met him when I first got my CDL.
Sounds like you got a good setup going in this economy. I tip my hat to you sir!BlackjackCo Thanks this. -

Not sure about the cameras but Walmart does have that weird phone thing they do. They like to check your phone records against your logs.
-
That's only if you have an accident or incident. That's the first thing a lawyer will check too. Don't text while driving and there won't be a problem. Don't take or make calls while driving on the DC yard or on a store property and there won't be a problem either. Don't be on the phone in construction or school zones. So what's weird about that? They have a policy and everyone knows what it is. They have to cover their bases lawyers know they have deep pockets

The problem I have with that is this.
You could pull over to send a text message, mindfully complying with Walmart’s crap, not realizing you’re in a bad area, and it might not go through until you’re 5 miles or so down the road. I recall reading here that they’ve terminated people for that very thing. -
Another sneaky trick they do is if you have your phone set up to where they can see if you’ve read the message. So technically somebody in dispatch could text you and then all sudden it switches from delivered to “read”, they check your logs and see you were driving at that time and Bam. You’re gone. Maybe you actually didn’t read the message. I keep my phone in the bunk to avoid any of these problems. I had it set up to where I could voice command just about everything I needed for a while, totally hands-free, but I still wasn’t comfortable with that. I call people back. I don’t even do the headset thing anymore. Sometimes dispatch gets annoyed with it but too bad. It can wait. It always cracked me up how if it was dispatch, they expect you to answer no matter what the circumstances are. You could be in the middle of Manhattan and they want you to answer that phone call but if anybody else? Terminated. Loldwells40 Thanks this.
