None of these posters will ever be paid.
Pretty sure revenge is not condoned on a public forum either..but I know how I would get a small bit of satisfaction, albeit no cash.

They call this the old school way. My brother Vinny and my brother Al got some Bizness to settle. Lol usually, taken
Care of after returning home from dropping their kids off from Little League practice. Couple of metal bats still left in the car.
all joking aside, the little guy is really left with a few options like others and posted. Going to have to pony up four to $500 an hour plus a retainer to get a lawyer to take the case and then there’s no guarantee if you get a decision or get some leverage against them that they’re gonna pay up. It’s against the constitution to send someone to prison over a civil debt. Although they do it for things like the IRS and child support because that is the government. Lol.
The original poster really only has one option unless he’s got deep pockets. Cut your losses, fold your cards and start over somewhere after doing a lot of research to make sure you’re working for someone reputable.Lonesome Thanks this. -
Well if you do nothing you definitely will get nothing.
It’s not 1865 anymore.Small claims court was created just for this reason. It’s a unfair burden to make people who owed smaller amounts of money to make them spend more then is even owed to hire a lawyer and sue when that will cost them more than they are even owed.Call your litigation lawyer I think you just like using the term he himself is going to tell you use small claims court -
According to another thread.....Chicago extended. The Indiana side. Its important note, Volvos in that area of the country are also red.
-
Lawyer is going to cost him $500 an hour? That’s a ridiculous statement.
10-1, one letter from a lawyer would motivate the deadbeat to pay up.
A lawyer can a will ask the court for legal fees to be paid by the defendant. Doesn’t sound like you have much experience at litigation.
Funny how everyone recommends hiring a lawyer to fight a ticket but when it actually comes to fighting for a sizable amount of money it’s forget about it..or represent yourself.
Seriously, if you don’t like my reply to the OP tough crap.Last edited: May 22, 2024
Lonesome and bryan21384 Thank this. -
It’s also easy to file a contempt complaint. Which could end in a timeout in jail or bank account seizure.
To me it sounds like the carrier has money for everything else but paying the driver. -
Some day I will learn that people on the internet have far more knowledge than an attorney. And always get their money.
So how many judgements have you gotten and collected on? You know everything so are you interested in buying mine? -
Really, save your snide comments for someone else.
My advice to the OP was to hire an attorney.. if you don’t like it too bad. -
And I've used attorney's many times, recovery is about 10% of the time.
-
I’m going to go out on a limb and say that your instances are much different than the OP trying to collect wages from a deadbeat employer.
Just as you hired an attorney that is the advice I gave the op.
If he hires an attorney, the attorney would likely start by sending a certified letter to the defendant which shouldn’t cost more than a few hundred dollars. Even just paying for a consultation would at least point the op in the right direction.
And yes, I’ve been through a few problems where I’ve retained a lawyer because I don’t know jack.
