Ok. He is a Diesel Tech with 20 years or so of experience (mostly engine) and has seen, changed, and flushed many a truck after they had oil cooler problems. Dawn is also what they use for birds and other animals that get coated with oil after oil spills. Like the BP oil spill (Deepwater Horizon). Dawn even had a tv commercial about it. Point is that it works great on oil.
@Goodysnap what is your preference? What have you found that works best?Last edited: May 30, 2024

There's a bunch of 20+ year exp techs out there that don't know squat. Not saying this guy doesn't, just saying.JB7 Thanks this.

Hey, sorry for coming off as an ash. Didn't mean to. For me, foaming soaps are harder to clean flush, normally taking 3 or 4 clean flushes to get all the soap out after I'm satisfied.
Cascade usually only takes one clean flush, and seems to leave less residue. The con with Cascade is a guy dumping powder in and blocking the system.
The guy in the video only had an opinion on what to use, and backed that opinion with nothing. Just, "Use Dawn, don't use Cascade" -
I used to use Cascade but it is no where as good as Dawn Ultra Platinum. I will never go back to anything else. The Dawn gets it done. And I did get that tip from AdaptApe. I watch his videos every week. Told him that if he wanted to move to SC and work at my shop I would let him make all the videos that he wants. The Cat dealer that he was working for stopped him from making videos at work so he had to quit.
