The long awaited school days have arrived! Although it has been a few months wait it was worth it!. I begin my training at Fox Vally Tech. this coming Monday. As some of you may remember my wonderful state of Wisconsin is footing 100% of the schooling costs for me. I feel going to school this way is better then ether paying for it myself or signing up with a company to get them to pay for it. The classes have LONG hours 12 hours a day 5 days a week for 10 weeks! but I will have close to 300 hours behind the wheel time at the school. I have to wonder what 10 weeks away from the menopausal wife and staying at the Hampton INN will be like (FUN?) we shall see! LOL. I am sure I will learn more then just going to a 3 week study at one of the "mills" type schools!. Anyway, I will check in and keep everyone up on my training and graduation!. You all watch out! I may be backing up in your neighborhood soon!
Well, the first day of school has arived!

Congratulations and welcome to the wild, wonderful and often truly wierd world of trucking. Sounds like you picked a winner for schooling but you ain't seen looong hours yet.
Before you know it you'll be an "old fart" an just az smart as I are.
Suggest you get you a little notebook and write down all the "Reasons I wanna be a Trucker" innit. Will come in handy for entertainment a couple years down the road when you're banging your head on the truck and saying "What the hell am I doing here?".
