Was a theme some time back. "Give it to Mikey, he'll eat anything." Ground breakers, I say........

I don’t want you guys to get jealous or nothing, but I’m headed to Monticello Arkansas. Maybe just maybe I can unload in time to spend the weekend in Columbus Mississippi. I can understand the general population being jealous of us truck drivers. Not many jobs allow you to see such exotic locales

Kinda a let down probably. Should have been there in the middle 50's. 19 nite clubs/beer joints from Pick's TS (jct of 82W/45S)
to AL State line. Improvement and 4 laning of US82 sort of skirted the strip.....

Yeah those days are long gone. It’s a good thing too. With all them beer joints there must’ve been no testosterone back then.

on a more serious note but keeping in line. D-Day is coming up. I can’t help but think about how soft we’ve become. Those guys that came home were some real hell raisers. From the 50’s-80’s zero ####s were given. And I’ve seen first hand they weren’t afraid to send a ninja to see Jesus.

This gig in pipeline work? I remember Parkhill coming thru Greenville, MS with 6 stacked (3-2-1) on a pole chassis, bout 45' long, IH L180, 5 OD and 2 spd, for a line going across MS/Al somewhere. Amazing how fast a little ole 180 will run with that much weight if it is hollow....
