I'm sitting with windows down 12 volt fan on and I have a truck idling all night and now right next to me. Fml. I like the silence, since it's hard to get.

Coleus; So many colors, in one plant. Almost like a velvet painting...

Most of the slammers here would probably be crying like a little child after a week or two of work.

My wife used to say that the florist cut back the root system on potted plants, before sending out to the recipient.
This to keep then from repotting and propagating. I know that a lot of the one we received over the years (61 to say 99) would not renew. But one she got in around 2000 did very well. I was fussed at to plant, so stuck it in the corner by the back steps, concrete/wood building trash chips, dug, stuck, watered then, and it actually turned out pretty good. I do not recall ever fertilizing it.
Some of her having me do.. She passed away in 9/2011, but got to see these for a few years.
