Hello I posted this issue in the general repair chat but i am thinking it might be freightliner specific.

Replaced the Cummins ISX 15 engine No. 79830729 with a rebuilt Cummins ISX 15 No.79940637 epa16 model. Engine runs but i get no instrument readout in dash and display shows No engine and No ABS. I am wondering if i need to change something with the CPC4 to get it to recognize the engine. I don't know what exactly the CPC4 does so i am just guessing. Anyone hit this issue when replacing an engine? Also cannot access the engine thru the duech connector in truck. 20240601_090548.jpg

Check that everything is plugged in and nobody pinched a harness during the swap.

NO CPC on Freightliner with Cummins engines. You have something on J1939 backbone unplugged, wire broken or rubbing shorted. Triple check all wiring/plugs.

    Magoo1968 and newskate Thank this.
