I DO feel sorry for the swift guys... alot of them are good people. BUT, like with everything else... there ARE some bad apples...

Speaking of Jamaica mon, still in Des Moines, at the thermo king with reefer problems. Internal part failed so they have to pull the entire unit off to replace it. But at least the pretrip was sat when I hooked it.

I am sitting at my terminal in Columbus, I will head out later for Buffalo.
But then I have to pick a load up to bring to Woodland Sat morning, then deadhead to Bradford PA. Live load there, bring that home so I can get my taxes done tomarrow afternoon. Then leave Monday morning to deliver in Chicago.
    Fun fun.
I really want a load I can bring home on a friday afternoon and deliver on Monday.
We have one that does that every week, and half of the time a driver not from the area gets it and is mad he has to sit.
I know 3 drivers that live near me that always want that load. Though one of them got it this week. I have only drawn it once though.

Maybe I will pull something like JJ or 1Bad soon. I will quit trucking for a few months and get sucked back in.
Wait....I have done that like 4 or 5 times over the years. So I do not need to again.
That is how you know you are officially a trucker I guess. When you leave it to do something else, and even though you can keep doing that, the road calls you back.
Gets into your blood like a virus.

Ahhh.. Well hopefully in 2 months time.. Ill have a local position hauling logs with my dad.. Ill make aroud 4 a week.. It'll be okay.. If that doesn't work.. I have plans to return to wal mart.. And work my way into night manager.. I just get the fuzzies thinkin about being home every night.. Useing tha jacuze tub.. Swimming, fishing, bbqin that only those positions could gimmie..

Ill be at my year in about a month and a half.. So I'm just hangin out and then I assume.. Ill prolly be done with trucking.. I would ultimately like to either be a night manager or work in a nice cozy factory unloading/loading job.. Make 10 a hour.. Work 4 tens and 3 off.. Then rotate.. But my movies about to start.. Watching the crazies.. Well see how that is.. I head out tomorrow in the am for south carolina..

WTF is it with my shippers lately?!?! another one loaded me heavy on my tandems with double stacked pallets. Not to mention I have one of Rail trls that i picked up from my last 99 drop n hook... unfortunately thats all they let me have is the Rail trl with full fuel... I guess i dont have to worry about fueling it while i have it! :biggrin_25523:. AND its broken... Trl parking brakes dont hold when sliding tandems. missing door hook on driver's side and have to stow the landing gear crank with a bungee cord!

I found a big broken tree branch and finally slid my tandems... I refuse to go back to that shipper tomorrow am to have them change it. Ill just play with the tandems until im legal.

    Use a 5/8 wrench.
Turn the adjusting nut in all the way the slack adjuster, then back a half a turn. Do this on each brake.
When you are done your brakes will work well. That is if you are not missing any springs (ran into that the other day).
Or you can just write it up over and over and see if they will eventually get you to a TA to adjust them.

    Running running. ahhhhhhhhh
