Hanging out in West Memphis,680 for the day,0hrs on 70,recap tonight Hometime this weekend,got an dentist appt for Monday.

 

Thought I was going to end up with a day layover today but got sent a Damco load to Pocono Summit, Pa before end of the day. Figured they would do anything to avoid paying layover, lol! Got that picked up and will head out in the morning from the yard. Says FCFS 1000-1600.

 

Made it to Fedex freight in Pocono Summit and they sign the paperwork and tell me to drop it and come back in the morning when it is empty. Must be the norm there. Gave me a number to call dispatch to ask about it. Sending to Port Reading Jersey next for a Medline load to Chester.

 

Got a Byhalia to Jacksonville,will drop that tomorrow,than probably head north from there.

 

Ain't many options to head south from there...

 

Good grief….11 hrs to go 487 miles today. Pa to Nj to Va. This north east short haul crap is for the birds, they need to pay a flat rate of 300 to the driver for short crap. Freight is horrible out of RVA, next load is bounce to Wytheville then pickup going down the road to Morristown, Tn. Im putting in layover on this one since I really don’t need a 34 yet. Never been to Medline in Chester, qcomm says when dropping loaded trailers to take pic of bills then put in mailbox so I guess can drop 24/7 there. Will see when I get there tomorrow.

 

Dropped in Jacksonville,had no freight,so deadheading me to drop my empty in Wilson,than head home.

 

Dropped at Medline and the only empty was parallel parked against the curb just a little too close to the trailer in front so I had to hook it at an angle, been a while since I tried that. Took me a couple tries but I got it. Hate hooking a box trailer at an angle because it can tip over if you hit it too hard to get under it, thankfully our trucks have suspension dump so I could get under without lifting at an angle. Bounced to Wytheville to grab my short run for Monday morning and parked at pilot for a 34 which I don’t really need but it is better than getting stuck in Richmond all weekend.

 

Stuck at that PFG for four and a half hours. Took so long to get a money code the lumper company kept texting in all caps for me to pay and get my paperwork, lol! Everybody was out to lunch when I tried calling for a money code. Got the shoemakersville load next then back to Richmond being the is due for its first PM service. Hopefully get away from Richmond and east coast cuz lately nothing but short north east loads.

 

Didn’t get stopped til almost 2100 last night on the Wytheville yard being parking up 81 was going to be slim going any further. Finally got to Shoemakersville 1400 and only had 4 hrs left to drive. They decided to put a Lancaster Leaf load on me dropping in Richmond, said there has been too many deadhead miles throughout the company so couldn’t bounce me straight. Not sure what time my pm is scheduled for tomorrow morning but had to shut down in Frystown and will get that load little after 0300 and bounce to the yard. Sucks gotta waste another day sitting around not getting paid….sounds like it has been light everywhere here lately freight wise. Something needs to happen soon freight wise….
