Since you will be transferring it to a brand new TX entity, you're probably liable for sales tax. Whether or not TX will let you put down a dollar for the sales price will be up to the DMV person you speak with. It may be better for you to keep the CA corp as a holding company for your equipment, start a new company in TX and lease the truck to the new company's authority and tag it through the new company.
