Grab yourself a ten dollar crock pot. One that runs on AC, not the 12 volt one they have at pilot. it does the same job and will last forever. The ceramic is a lot easier to clean than that steel is, another benefit.

Get the Crock pot liner bags and throw away. Cheap and easy clean-up.

the newer colemans have those "pancake" fans(2 of them),and they do not sell replacements.although you can buy similar sized ones from radio shack, they are not an exact fit and do not work as well,,these new ones seem to die out within 1 year

I guess if I ever need a new one, I'll buy an Igloo. If I wanted to buy a new one every year, I'd buy a Koolatron. The first one I had was one of those, and that thing was so cold it actually froze stuff. But once the fan in it went bad I had to toss it. This old Coleman I have now is about ten years old. When the fan starts growling at me, I stop at a TA an get a new one for $22.

Been driving for just over 6 mos now. I've got a regular coffee maker in the truck, a toaster, and a single burner hotplate. The truck has an APU so provides my electricity.

I have no problems making myself meals IN THE TRUCK...omelets and toast...varying "helper" dishes.

My only hassles is getting the dishes done afterwards - and I hate filling up landfills with styrofoam plates.

Might consider salvaging some of the components from my popup trailer (water heater/sink)?

Use paper plates. They are bio-degradable.

Crockpots. Throw in a couple eggs and some cut up vegetables and some salt and pepper and leave it on for a while, you have a nice omellette. Or Pour in a couple cans of soup and add your own cut up veggies to make a stew. Use your brain, and you can get 100000 recipes with the crockpot. Oatmeal, soups, chicken with sauce. Just learn the right ingredients and the right amount of time to cook. It will cook raw chicken if left for the right amount of time.
