The latest Schneider tanker ad (Houston) I've seen wants at least 3 months experience. The usual list of other starter carriers reads pretty much the same (3 - 6 months, or even more). :(

The ad I posted above requires NO prev experience (& is a current ad -- as of this posting).

Right, if you want Schneider Bulk (tanker) you must pull a dry van for 3 months then switch to tanker.
A Schneider recruiter will explain this to you.

Very good with their raises and overall culture. She should be happy if she gets in. The districts around Ccisd don’t pay as well. Portland isd is next door and is only other one I would recommend.

Thanks for this, but Roehl said they’re not hiring in my area . I’ve narrowed it down to kllm, Schneider, and western dairy. Just gotta find out closest WD terminal and maybe look into swift as last resort, since terminal is close. Thanks again!

Main issue is if you're in the hiring area. Where the terminal is isn't important as long as you're in the hiring area.
I've worked for companies and the nearest terminal to my home was several states away, but I was in the hiring area, so it didn't matter.

If your truck or trailer needs maintenance the trucking company will route you to the nearest shop they have a contract with. Sometimes that will be a terminal shop and sometimes an outside shop the company has a contract with. There could be a hundred different shops scattered throughout the 48 states.

I didn’t know that. I guess I was thinking I’d rather have the choice to leave truck at terminal when it’s time for home time if it was closer. You have been tremendous help!
