it is easy to find connectors and wiring for DDEC-II on JY now, III and IV shares connectors and wiring harness, DDEC-V is like a cummins CM2150 ECM design, totally different wiring. Temic units, like MBE 55 pin ore DDEC-VI are controlled with propriate CAN, so on non Mercedes vehicles are all with ADM2 units (really it is FR like in Actros with other software)

 

but ddec II uses a diferent switch arrangement so they would need to be changed

Hello. I saw where nw can man had swapped a dddeii in place of a ddeciiii. I also am planning this swap and wondering if the vehicle wiring harness needs to be changed or modified. Any and all info will be much appreciated.

 

any body ever swap out a dd5 for a dd4 should be a bolt in but how difficult would the wireing be

 

I went from a DD2 to a DD4 and cruise control, jakes, and rpm gauge not working

 

How’s it going !! Hey have the same problem swap a ddec2 for a ddec 4 im using same engine harness and ecm off my old ddec 4, but truck won’t start I get timing codes… could I swap out the front gears off the ddec4 and installed it on the ddec 2.
