I can’t imagine. My trainer at Werner was top notch but I got lucky. Guy I went to trucking school with got a trainer the same day. I met him the night before. No bueno. Dude had to weigh 350 and my buddy from school said the guy reeked 10 minutes after a shower lol. 8 weeks of that is a nightmare.

Even with my trainer who I was lucky to get, after 8 weeks it was more than enough even with weekends away in the hotel.

What type of guy wants to nonstop have to drive with a rookie? My trainer had a sweet gig he was home every weekend and near home twice a week in case of emergencies but it was a trainer only route so he took it.

Is it Schneider that does all the training local so you don’t even once have to sleep in the trainers truck? That is definitely something to consider cause it really is a roll of the dice going with a trainer..

 

That's how it was with my trainer at Werner. He was on a dedicated account, home every weekend, so they put me in a hotel for those days. Having that breathing space was what got me through the rest of it.

 

Call the terminal manager, let him know that the trainer STINKS like an unwashed hog, and ask to be re-assigned. Still, with 4 people to a truck, you're almost guaranteed to have at least 1 "smelly Kelly". Didn't you know ahead of time what CRE was like????? I'd rather work for Western Express than THEM!

 

I notice that company hauls LTL loads on a reefer. Probably makes 10 stops each run.....

 

Yes, and get paid for each stop + piece count. Makes for some fat paychecks.
