Wasn’t me! Don’t know nothing about it. Just happened upon the scene. Seen the situation and offered some advice.

    Mom said I could.

Have you heard from dad? He said he was going to the store and was coming right back. That was three weeks ago.

A drug test is required anytime there is a DOT reportable accident, which is about 3000.00 damage or if any vehicle has to towed, or an injury or fatality. No exceptions.

    77fib77 and Rideandrepair Thank this.

Wrong. A test is required if anyone has to be taken from the scene for medical attention or any vehicle has to be towed from the scene AND the truck driver receives a citation. No ticket, no test.
And you always test if there is a fatality no matter whose fault.

I think it's worth mentioning that while a citation or fatality may not have occurred, that don't mean one's company won't decide to do a random, especially if the driver that got in a wreck is not well-liked in that company

I guess I am just repeating myself here...

Way more than several thousand in damages, all vehicles towed, and no testing.
    Required testing? Really?

The officer involved stuck around to inspect my truck and the other vehicles after they were towed. He was not happy at that point. Do you think he would have let it slide to get me tested if it was required?

So many of the people responding in this thread have no idea of what they are talking about.
