How many weeks are you into your traininng and how many do you have left? I only ask because the next company won't count any of the time you were with your current trainer. I know it's bad where you are, and you have every right to bail, but it would suck to have to start from scratch if you've already put in some time.

 

Call Mike Lowrie or Bob Button in Vacaville. They're both hiring and this time of the year they never have enough drivers.

 

Both used to be ok. Maybe Millis still is. Haven't heard much positive on Heartland.

 

From what I’ve heard CRE will have him team driving with another new driver once he completes training. I don’t know how they get away with what they do.

Last CRE driver I talked to was telling me to not eat or even drink during a shift so I wouldn’t have to stop to pee. I told him I stop to eat when I’m hungry. And staying hydrated is important for health and becoming dehydrated makes you drowsy and less alert. He looked at me like I had three heads. He was brand new and team driving with a driver with 6 months experience. Not sure who told him to not drink liquids.

 

Many CRE training trucks have a bunk over the windshield and a double bunk behind the driver. 3 humans in one truck.

 

His kidney doctor told him not to drink fluids for 8 hours. Somebody has to make those boat payments and it won't be the doctor, it will be the patient with kidney stones.

 

Will CR England give you a solo driving job after the training?

 

Pass on both. Both suck extra bad these days. Millis has fell by the wayside...
