Have air leak, compressor can keep up, but every time you stop the system drains. So, finally went to TA yesterday in Eaton, OH. What a joke
Mechanic can't find leak. Can't figure out the open circuit in the tractor's parking light. Now I have to wait for routing near one of our yards to do that and an overdue oil change. There mechanics suck!!
Sent me to Coca Cola in Paw Paw, MI. Supposed to load 04/10 at 1630. Customer informs that it is scheduled for 4/11 at 1300 AND that another carrier had just tried to check in with the same pickup #. WTF?
Informed the HQ. That is two loads in a month that were AFU. ARRGH:biggrin_25510:

I had one trailer that I used a curb, a wheel rim, a 4X6 and a sledge to break the slide loose enough to adjust.

I just wrote it up... I kept the tree branch in the side box though in case i need to slide them for my next load. :biggrin_2559:. Now i am sitting in the petro in knoxville. 02 delivers monday am at 1000. Might repower that load in Chatanooga for 300 miles tomorrow then come back to mine. Ill just have dispatch have the other guy sit on mine at a TS. im NOT trading 400 miles with extra stop pay for a 300 miler.... It will be nice to make up for the 2 days my trk was in the shop for the power steering pump.

Looks like my 10 just became a 34.

Yep! I got a call from a Central recruiter. Gotta go to SLC if I go with Central. We'll see, I've got to read more in this thread and look at a few other things.

I drove for Central for 21/2 yrs. When I first started I swore by the company. Good miles and decent checks considering the low pay rate (29 cents/mile) 6 months in I went L/O. It was great at first, awesome money no sitting time. then the economy changed and i was getting load after load of local runs and sit till delivery. This gave me an attitude because my checks went from good to getting just enough cash to buy food for the week. This company will punish you if you refuse to take every load they give you. The last load they gave me before i parted company with them was 7 days to do just under 1000 miles. This is with one of the more popular dm's. I would talk with company drivers who where still making great money during this time. So if you chose Central I recommend avoiding their L/O program.

    JustSonny Thanks this.

Still here in MI. Have sched p/up at 1300. There is another carrier with same p/up number, so.... do we arm wrestle, or rocks, paper scissors? OH and the delivery is sched for 0945 tomorrow in GA, which I can't make as a solo. I can smell the smoke as HQ tries to come up with answers.

I'm just curious to you l/o's that parted way.. Did you turn the truck in the right way.. I.e. Leave it at a yard, do the check list.. Turn in all permits and company issued cards? Did they try to sue you for the truck payments, balanced owed on truck, repairs to truck? Did they threaten to put a lean on your cars, house, dog and jeans? I heard someone say that abandoned the truck.. That central threatened with prison time...

This is how rumors start on the Internet. It ends up disappointing many, many hopeful people who are in desperate need of a job.

It's probably a brokered load that Central picked up. Decent miles on it? I probably would have taken it and contact dispatch even though i know it was going to be late. But then how is your FM on getting you out of the SE dispatch loop of death?:biggrin_2559: Mine gets me out fairly quickly.

Central Drivers, looking for an old friend who was a driver trainer. His name is Sean Meyer. He is a real good guy and great trainer. He is originally from South Africa, so he has an accent and he decorated his rig with skulls. Any info would be great to hear. I would love to reconnect with an old friend. Thanks.
