Nah...the closest Swifty is 3 rows back and 10 spots east...anyway, he is sitting on the curb, crying about no low miles. all the way across WY and NV on 80...I counted only 10 Swift trucks rolling down the highway...at least they were up on their tires!

They're easy to count 'cause they're going so slow.

Yesterday when I was running across there I had to laugh....There was a Celedon truck trying to pass a Swift truck and it wasn't working too well.
I saw them running side by side for a long time before I got there and then I told Celedon to "either get it done or back out of it and get out of the way." Much to my surprise he backed out of it and moved over. As soon as I passed him he pulled right back out there and started over...Perserverance I suppose!

About an hour later I stopped at Rawlins to fuel and get a bite to eat and when I got back on the highway...Here was the same Celedon, Still trying to pass the same Swift!

    Now that's perserverance!

As a Swift driver I'd like to apologize on behalf of that idiot you saw. If another truck is going just barely faster than me, I'll hit the jake for a second and let him by and then resume the blazing speed of 63mph. I don't lose any appreciable time and the road is clear for others to get by.

I can't stand those fuel sippers that won't just let off for 15 seconds to let me by because I'm rolling faster. You know, the O/O that could go 75 if they wanted, but are going 61 instead? If I've got 500 miles left to go, I'm not gonna just slow down and stay behind you. You wanna save money? Fine. Just don't hold up other people that want to go as fast as they can.

By the way... if there is a slowpoke that won't let me by (yes I ask politely on the radio before attempting to pass) I do wait until there isn't anyone coming up behind us for a ways.

You'll never have a problem with me....The only time I go 61 is when the speed limit is 60.

I have Crossfires on my drives, so it just takes a glance. I check my steers with the gauge a couple of times a week.

Yeah, check your tires with a guage, then play holy hello trying to find an air dispenser to pump them up.

I hear ya on that one. I won't buy the hose/glad hand/chuck pre-assembled from a T/S because they all have the tag on them saying it contains something that causes cancer. It says to wash your hands after handling... no thanks!

Gonna make my own one of these days. It sucks trying to find a working air line at a T/S. Drivers steal the #### chuck off most of them.

Oh, here's a tip too: when you find a working one, push in the little valve to blow out any water that has collected in the line *BEFORE* you hook it to your tire. I was at a Love's the other day and had to let it blow water out of the line for about 2 minutes!

You either plumb in a quick disconnect from the "dry" tank like I did....Or you can purchase an air hose with a gauge/chuck and glad-hand combo...
