Got my load for Monday, loading in town here and delivering Tuesday morning in Omahahaha. After that I hopefully can get my DOT physical done and then can hopefully make up for all this downtime.
MidWest_MacDaddy and IH9300SBA Thank this. -

I got a load from that paper mill in Wabash, IN and it looked like their lot was taken over by FCC trucks. Ended up spending 3.5 hours there and got to the last rest area before Iowa on I-80.
I will drop this in the Lincoln yard tomorrow, grab a Los Lunas load from Aurora, and then swing through the house for a reset. I’ll head towards NM on Monday. It really feels like i’m on regional boards vs OTR, but i love the drive down to Albuquerque from my houseMidWest_MacDaddy, IH9300SBA and DonRobbie Thank this. -

Hopefully freight picks up
Very trying times right nowMidWest_MacDaddy, cdavis188 and DonRobbie Thank this. -
Got to Lincoln and there’s at least 4 trailers including mine sitting on the yard full of paper rolls for Hastings. I don’t know how many more will end up there

Or are you saying that they had you scheduled for delivery “on the 4th” and then changed the plan?
I was on a load scheduled for Monday. When I inquired about Friday delivery (because I was going to be there a couple hours before they normally closed) I was then told they were closed until Monday. I then had an option (in my planning) to swing by and visit friends over the weekend (IL/NE) or do something else with the extra time. I opted to offer to keep rolling IF we had freight or shut down when/where I wanted (IL/NE) and drop Monday.
I find that when holidays roll around, they tend to give us loads with lots of time on them so we can then take advantage of the additional Flex Time to see what options we can come up with. I then incorporate that into my plans or communications.
Sometimes it doesn’t work too.
