:biggrin_2559::biggrin_25526:. well the 1st thing he did was to go work for prime inc. that should have been a red flag when he so said that he drove 3200 miles a week and all he got out of it was just $125.00 a wk. sounds like there is more to it but he won't say it.

Better watch it notarps... we'll lock you up in that Passmore Pete you're so fond of!

    :biggrin_2559:
3200 miles per week? Even at the right-out-of-training rate he should have been grossing around $960 with those kind of miles. As for his home time complaint, he'd be able to go home every three weeks. Never had a problem with that myself...

    venne Thanks this.

I didn't think it was possible for a Prime truck to do 3200 miles a week while staying legal. Seems like they top out at 55 some times.

That's fuel economy, not speed limiting. You won't last on the company side if you hammer down on a regular basis.

Actually lease operators who took (ACE) business course have the option to turn their truck up to 76 mph. At current economy and fuel prices, that'll be a large ch:biggrin_2551:unk of your profit margin going up you exhaust stack.

Not any longer. All new leases since last year have been limited to 65 mph - mostly because of the Ontario speed limiter restrictions.

Prime doesn't pay "per mile." LO's get 72% of the linehaul revenue, OO's 73%; Prime passes all fuel surcharge revenue collected to the operators. That being said, Prime does guarantee that you will receive a MINIMUM of 95 cpm, amortized over every 100,000 miles you run... remember that's a minumum over a long period.
